PU&Epoxy Flooring
Epoxy is a thermosetting polymer
which is available in three different formulations for a garage floor coating and sealer; water based, solvent based, and 100% solids. These formulations allow for varying degrees of thickness from 3 mils to over 10 mils for a single coating for a garage floor. They also allow for ease of application, special bonding characteristics, and VOC considerations. Epoxy bonds extremely well to properly prepared concrete and can sometimes be used as a resurfacing agent for old or worn concrete that needs a new garage floor surface.
PU/Epoxy Grouting
PU Epoxy Grouting Services is a high
strength epoxy grout designed for grouting of machine and equipment bases of all types, formulated to be used in both thin and thick sections. Epoxy Grouting is suitable for grouting bases of numerous configurations. Epoxy Grouting provides excellent bond to foundation and provides the maximum bearing for long lasting grouting projects.
Waterproofing works
Most concrete roofs are constructed
using reinforced concrete which is known to have capillary tracts. Depending on the designed strength, density and installation techniques, the number of pores can vary. These pores are interconnected within the concrete and water will penetrate through such capillary tracts aided by osmotic effect. Concrete is known to be inherently weak in tension; cracks and voids can also form due to thermal expansion, contraction and shrinkage. As a result, water will seep through these voids.
Concrete Repairs
When a crack affects the performance
of the structure, then we will repair it to restore its structural properties. Epoxy injection is typically the basis for this type of repair, with or without added reinforcement. The injected epoxy (like those made by Rhino Carbon Fiber) is actually stronger than the concrete and can restore the concrete strength, but if there is an underlying problem, such as an overloaded structure or some movement condition, the concrete will simply crack again in another location.
Protective Coatings
A protective coating is a layer of
material applied to the surface of another material with the intent of inhibiting or preventing corrosion. A protective coating may be metallic or non-metallic. Protective coatings are applied using a variety of methods, and can be used for many other purposes besides corrosion prevention. Commonly used materials in non-metallic protective coatings include polymers, epoxies and polyurethanes. Materials used for metallic protective coatings include zinc, aluminum and chromium.
Expansion joint treatments.
Although buildings are often
constructed using flexible materials, roof and structural expansion joints are required when plan dimensions are large. It is not possible to state exact requirements relative to distances between expansion joints because of the many variables involved, such as ambient temperatures during construction and the expected temperature range during the life of a building. Expansion joints are periodic breaks in the structure of the buildings.
